The following types of Upholstery Leather are available for interior design leather applications through Buckskin and are described below. Although the Euro Soft Furniture Leather is the most popular we have included the Garment Leather descriptions as many job requirements only require Sides( half hides). As well we have listed Glovtan / Shoe heavier weight descriptions for those Upholstery jobs requiring a more rustic heavy leather. Note: Any garment leather used for Upholstery is at Users Own Risk as these skins are not specifically tanned for Upholstery and have a lighter finish. All hides are supplied in uncut condition and priced per square foot. Special joblots are offered on discounted colors or special purchases. Euro Soft-touch Furniture Upholstery Leather
This Full grain cowhide furniture leather originates in Europe and is available in natural grain full hides, averaging 40-50 square feet per hide. These hides are selected from European Dairy stock which are larger than North American Beef breeds, and exposed to little or no Branding and Barb Wire. This is a natural uncorrected Grain leather with a finish to protect against moisture and staining. These hides are generally brand free and have very minimal grain imperfections. Ideal for general interior upholstery with superb feel and cutting. Also suitable for seat cover, garment and handbag purposes.  This leather is ideal for interior design applications and a favorite choice amongst Interior Designers.

Currently Buckskin Leather stocks 50 popular colors. A complete leather sample book is available on request for commercial users and single samples available for individual interior designers and upholsterers.

Automotive Upholstery Leather
This Connolly Full grain cowhide leather also originates in Europe and is utilized by many of today’s Auto manufacturers. These hides average 40-50 sqft and are available in a range of colors. This leather is somewhat firmer and heavier than the Euro-Soft furniture type as it is tanned for the durability requirements of auto interiors. Wentworth is a dual purpose Auto / Furniture weight with and embossed grain finish.

Cowhide Club Jacket / Chap Garment 2 ½-3oz / Light Upholstery
Full grain cowhide side leather averaging 18-25 square feet each in various grade selections. Garment grade will have some brands, barbwire marks or holes. Chap selection is brand free with minimal grain defects or holes in the primary area. Bundle quantities consisting of 10 sides averaging 200-250 sq.ft. Available in standard colors as used in the handbag, team sports club jacket, rodeo chaps, motorcycle leathers, general utility garment and light upholstery leather where smaller cuts are required ( Users own risk for Upholstery). Colors available include: Black, Grey, White, Burgundy, Royal, Scarlet Red, Beige, Sunset Orange, Hunter Green, and Walnut brown.

Cowhide Deertan Natural Garment 2 ½ -3 oz / Rustic Upholstery
Full grain cowhide side leather averaging 20-25 sq ft in natural finish. This leather is nude in finish and soft. As it has very little if any finish it is more sensitive to staining or moisture absorption. Used primarily in rustic look or natural buckskin look applications such as moccasin, buckskin jackets, gloves and log furniture upholstery ( Users own risk for Upholstery ). Available in 2 tones of natural gold deerskin color and black. Grade selection is dependant on number of brands, grain imperfections, scratches or holes. Note for USA customers, this leather is often substituted for deerskin orders as it looks and feels similar . As it is of Cowhide and not Wild Game origin, there is no inspection requirements by U.S. Fish and Wildlife.

Cowhide Glovtan / Shoe Leather 3 ½ -4oz , 4-5o z / Heavy Upholstery 
Full grain cowhide side leather averaging 20-25 square feet in heavier weights. This type of leather is available primarily in earth tones in natural, oil or light pigment finish. Grade selections available from utility branded stock to chap selects. Priced according to grade selection. Typically used for baseball glove, backpack, sporting equipment, work chaps, outfitter gear, tool aprons, moccasin, boot, motorcycle gear and heavy weight upholstery. As these hides are designed with little or no finish, use at own risk for Upholstery.
